Greeting to All Alumni of SHS
We're looking forward to seeing you at the annual alumni banquet reunion on July 7th, 2012. This year, Bobby Jo's of Beardsley, MN will cater the meal. The meal will be as follows: roast beef dinner including mashed potatoes with gravy, salad, bread, and dessert. The cost of the meal will be $8.00. We will start serving at 5:30pm in the air conditioned high school practice facilty (west side of the school), with the program to start at 6:30pm. Golf carts will be available before and after for rides to and from the parking area. At the program, the honored classes will share thier SHS memories with us. At this time we will also honor the "Alumnus of the Year" and present the Alumni Scholarships. We hope to see you there.
The golf tournament at the Valley View Country Club will start with registration from 8:30 to 10:30am, with golf to start after you register. This tournament is for all levels of golf, you can pick your foursome or just show up and we will get you in a group. A picture will be taken with all winners immediately following the tournament. All alumni, spouses, and former teachers are welcome to participate in the tourney.
Prior to or during the event we encourage you to pay your annual alumni dues of $5.00. The same dues pay for the "Smoke Signal" mailing and for two senior scholorships of $250 each. If your class has money leftover, please consider donating the funds to the Alumni Association. Please take time to check the schedule in the smoke signal for events that you would like to attend or participate in . We were very fortunate this year to have many community members' open doors and help to make every ones Alumni and forth of July weekend a memorable one. Do not forget the ALL SCHOOL DANCE at the Valley View Country Club Saturday night this is for eveyone not just honored classes.
I would like to express my appreciation to our eight member Board of Directors for donating their time to serve along with everyone else who helps to make our reunion undoubtedly one of the best in the country.
