Sisseton Elementary School fourth grade classes (Mrs. Abaquita and Ms. Sarsaba) attended education day at SWO Tribal Headquarters today. We were met by Joey Bird, had a Dakota Language learning session, attended Tribal Council - our very own Josiah Bagola sang a prayer song to begin our time together, students had an opportunity to ask questions, share their name and greet the council members, a tour was given, 'sweep the teepee' game, and pizza lunch. Thank you to all that made this day possible. A special thank you to Joey Bird for leading and teaching us and to Dr. Johnson for your dedication and support for our learners and families.
