We look forward to celebrating the season with 3rd and 4th grade music concert Friday, December 13 at 7:00pm. Students are to arrive at 6:45pm and will go to their class areas to be lined up for the performance. Parents/guardians please keep their coats and any outdoor gear with you. Any parents/students that may arrive before 6:45pm the children will then remain with you until 6:45pm. The concert will last approximately 30 minutes. All participants will remain at the concert the entire performance. Parents/Guardians and/or Family Members will pick up their child(ren) at the conclusion of the performance. Performing Arts Centers Etiquette Arrive on time: Being late can disrupt the show's flow No food, drink, or chewing gum is allowed in the theatre or the lobby. When entering the theatre, turn off or silence all cell phones and pagers. It is disrespectful to the audience members around you and to the performers on stage to use one of these devices during an event. Avoid entering and exiting during the show: If you need to leave, do so during an applause break. Be considerate of others: Use the facilities before or after the performance. Softly open and close doors. Don't let children roam the facility unattended. No feet on the back of seats, no standing on seats, and no hopping over seats. Talking during a performance is discouraged. It is disrespectful to the performers working to entertain the audience. Remember the performers have practiced and are working to entertain you, the audience. At the end of the performance, it is the right time to show your appreciation for the performer’s hard work. Show your appreciation: Clap at the end of the performance to show your enjoyment. (Not yelling out names of the performers or getting the attention of the performers other than to applaud the performance). This state-of-the-art facility was built for your enjoyment. Come to the theatre and enjoy all the outstanding student performers ready to entertain you. Share your experience: You can share your experience on social media after the performance. We look forward to this event and listening to our student performers this year! They have an outstanding program prepared just for you.

Amy Currence from Wells Fargo Bank came to Kindergarten today and read 'Lily Learns about Wants and Needs'. Wells Fargo has six different read aloud books to share with young learners about saving, spending and the value of money. Each book has a craft to follow up with after the story. Thank you Amy Currence for sharing your time with us today. We look forward to having you visit again soon.

It was an outstanding day at Westside today. Ms. Karen Abaquita's class under the direction of Miss Z our music teacher sang at Tekakwitha Living Center and Edgewood. Our local Veterans from Legion Auxiliary and VFW visited all classrooms today for a learning opportunity about flag etiquette, veterans and respect for our country. Our day concluded by waving the flags as the convoy drove by. Thank you for your service! #PublicSchoolProudofOurVeterans
