Parents/Guardians/Family Members and Community Members: Westside Student Council Fundraiser is happening this week - prizes will be drawn Friday morning! The student council funds are for annual student assessment t-shirts, Westside WAVE gear incentives, attendance and positive school culture events throughout the year. Thank you in advance for your support for our students and staff each day. Tickets for the fundraiser can be purchased through Thursday end of day.

Westside Preschool Program is an outstanding team of young learners well prepared, always safe, they value respect and are eager to learn each day!

This week we get to celebrate fourth grade learners Andrew Currence, Owen Currence, Sophie Crooks and Priscilla DeMarrias for zero office referrals and an average of 96% attendance their educational career at Westside Elementary School! Principal Moen and the recognized learners made positive principal calls home and prizes were awarded provided by SRO Lindsey Zastoupil. Congratulations to each of you and your parents for instilling an emphasis to be at school, well prepared, always safe, to value respect and eager to learn! We are proud of you!

The Sisseton School District Native American Parent Committee meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 1, from 4:30 to 5:00 p.m. in the Sisseton HS/MS Multipurpose Room.

Parents: You can pay for student meals online through your Campus Parent account. You can access your campus parent account online or through the Campus Parent app. Options for recurring payments are available weekly, semi-monthly (1st & 15th of each month), monthly, or when your student has a low balance. There is a $10 minimum online payment.

Vision screenings will take place Tuesday (9/23) at Westside Elementary, and Wednesday (9/24) at SMS. Parents - if you do not want your child to participate in the screening, please contact the school office by Monday, September 22.

Positive Principal Post - Celebration Calls Home! Fourth Graders Bria Carlson, Rylee Cordie, Brylee Chanku, and Carlton Crawford are recognized this week for no office referrals and an average together of 92% attendance their career at Westside! We are proud of each of you for daily choosing to be a Westside WAVE Learner!
